BBQ Country Style Ribs

BBQ Country Style Rib
with home canned green and wax beans 
and potato fries

Courtry Style Ribs are actually not taken from the ribs, but from the shoulder of the hog. These BBQ Country Stlye Ribs were made in my crock pot.


 
Place ribs in a single layer in your crock pot.  Top with minced garlic and thinly sliced lemon.  Cook on low for 4 hours or so, leaving around an hour at the end for adding the BBQ sauce. (Before adding the BBQ sauce, you will need to drain the juices as I have already done in this picture.)

For the last hour, cover with a BBQ sauce, making sure to carefully lift the ribs to let the sauce sit underneath as well.


I like to make my own BBQ sauce:
1 c ketchup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
3 T Worcestershire sauce
3 T apple cider vinegar
2 T molasses
1 tsp mustard
